Private English Courses & One-to-One Lessons

Private one-to-one lessons start at €72 per hour. We also offer fixed packages of 10, 20 or 30 hours, with the per-hour rate dropping to as low as €50/hour on the largest packages. All prices include teaching materials and certification.

Both. You can have your lessons on-site at our school at Eerste Weteringplantsoen 2C in Amsterdam, live online via Zoom, or mix the two — whichever suits your schedule that week.

Once we receive your inquiry, we match you with a suitable teacher and schedule your first lesson within 3 working days. There is no payment required until your teacher is matched and your programme is agreed.

All CEFR levels from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficiency). If you are unsure of your level, take our free online level check first and we will recommend the right starting point.

Yes. All MixTree teachers are CELTA-certified — the industry-standard qualification from Cambridge English — and have extensive experience teaching adults in Amsterdam.

Absolutely. Many students take a group course to progress through CEFR levels and add private lessons on top to focus on specific goals such as business English, exam preparation, presentations or pronunciation.
